Hello everyone.  I'm Sami, and I have been interested in singing for a long time.  My younger sister is a great singer, but I have a very weak voice.  It is sort of soft and high pitched when I speak, and it cracks or just goes silent when I try to sing.  The cracking and awkard straining remind me a lot of the mom in the movie Elf when she joins the caroling at the end. :)

I recently started going to church, and everyone sings along during the mass.  I love the songs we sing, but I am so embarrassed when I hear my voice.  Especially if there are not very many other people on that particular day.

My goal is not to become a professional quality singer or anything like that. I just want to be able to sing at church and karaoke without my voice straining and breaking.

Hi Sami! I highly recommend straw singing to start strengthening your voice in a gentle way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cMSTt3oY7E

I'll include a few lessons on cracking and strength I think you'll enjoy as well:
