I have always been able to bridge my chest voice to mix voice very easily, but I have problems with head voice when I try to keep the same volume as my high mix.  Will I be able to sing with head voice with as much raw power as my high mix register?

Good question! Here's a lesson on developing power in head voice. 

I do think your head voice can be very powerful, but by definition it won't have as much "weight" or "heaviness" as a mix.
