Vowel sound in 'mom' exercise

    Hi there, 

    I just completed day 2 of the intro to singing course and, first off, I thought it was really good: the exercises, explanations, and manner of the teacher. So thank you for that.

    My question is about the 'mom' exercise. I am Australian so my pronunciation of mom is mum. I want clarification on what vowel sound I am aiming for in this exercise. I suspect if I aim for an American accent vowel sound it will be a Frankenstein's monster-esque version that won't capture it properly 😂. Can you please give me guidance.
