"Ah" in high notes

    In the youtube video "How to Sing High Without Straining" we use the "Ah" vowel but as I got higher I started to strain and I want to know if it is because I kept it wide with the "Ah" and if I should narrow the"Ah" into a more tall one then the wide "Ah".

    Yes, good thinking! Try tall and narrow AW and see how it goes. I'm a fan of using whatever shape produces the most relaxed, consistent tone and then building from there.
