I'm a male with a mezzo singing "close every door" except pretty much I'm singing an octave higher always because the music I'm pretty sure is for a barritone.  So at one part it was C sharp 5 but the it hit A5 right after and the thing is I am cracking super hard.  I think it is because of the transition of chest mix to head voice but I'm not completely sure.  Can someone please help me to be able to transition better without cracking so hard? (ps. it is getting better and I'm trying to get that mix placement at the C sharp 5 but it is still hard)

If you sing in the original key, the lowest pitch will be C3 and the highest will be F#4 (since higher male voices typically read treble clef but sing 1 octave lower).
