    Hey Camille,

I'm alyssa. I'm taking your beginner course. I can't phisically stand. Are the breathing exercises still effective? How should I go about my posture?

    Hi Alyssa,

Yes, please still do the breathing exercises, modified in any way you need. If it's possible to have your feet on the ground or a platform in front of you, please do so. Many rehearsals and performances are done seated (especially for instrumentalists), and much of standing posture can be applied in a seated position. We still want an elongated spine, shoulders relaxed down, chest comfortably lifted, and head floating above your spine with chin level to the floor or slightly lowered.
