So in the livestream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKKgkO_tAqs   you said at around 35:00 ng or nasal vowels like mm or nnn are super good for head voice.  So my question is doesn't lifting the soft palate take out the nasal and isn't lifting the soft palate super good for the high notes?

Hey, Aaron! Lifting the palate does help with tone and "opening up" your high notes! But closed exercises (like MM, NN, lip trill, etc) can all help your vocal folds come together while you "find" those notes in head voice.

So pretty much closed exercises can help you find head voice and lifting the soft palate helps hitting the high notes?

Closed exercises help in general (head voice included), and lifting the soft palate can improve tone and pitch!
