Solfege or Numbers

New to the site and tried to find something on this but couldn't (They really need a search function).

I'm currently also learning music theory and the question of whether to use Solfege or numbers has come up.  I'd like to use the same system for my music theory as I do for singing so was wondering if the instructors used Solfege or Numbers in their lessons (or something else entirely).  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Hi, Simon! I personally love solfege, but I typically use numbers when describing warmup patterns, since most beginners I work with prefer numbers (and aren't familiar with solfege).
