Trilling

Hi Camille.  While trilling I am having problems on the downward portion of the trill while doing introductory or warm ups.  I record the session and often times I cannot reach the piano pitch or run out of air while trilling on the downward trill.  Can you give me any advise how to improve?

    Thanks

If you're running out of air, make sure your lips have a pretty good "seal" so that your sound is clear and strong, no extra air escaping! Many singers use their fingers to help support their cheeks (or the corners of their mouth) to help with that.

Otherwise, use any other semi-closed exercise in place of the trill!
