    Sorry, I'm new to music... May i know what's the meaning of up down and backdown by the lecture of Jon Statham?

    Hello! I assume he's talking about the pitch going up (higher) and down (lower), but I could be wrong. Can you give me a specific lesson and timestamp to look at?

    It is day 1 beginner class and starts from 1.50

    Got it! Yes, he means you're singing the major scale in one key, then you're moving up (higher) by one half-step. Then after a few modulations (repetitions changing keys), you go back down (lower). Follow along with his pitch and you'll be singing the right notes!
