I am a complete beginner. I want to get better but mainly just to entertain myself. I am not looking to becoming an expert singer or anything. I just thought if I was to get 50% better I could play some songs for my wife or my daughter. I can play the guitar, but it would sound a bit better if I could sing a little as well. Thanks for any input. 

I encourage you to check out a lesson or 2 from each beginner course instructor, and see whose style you like best! We recommend starting with a 30-day course (or more than one, if you want) for a solid foundation in vocal technique before moving on to other lessons on the site. Best of luck!
