I am having a hard time trying to figure out my vocal range. I am following your instructions but I'm not sure how it's suppose to sound. I'm using the "oo" sound. Starting with the G note on keyboard and working my way up and down. Am I suppose to be singing "OO" ? It doesn't seem to sound like I'm singing it, it sounds more like a hum and then I can go up and down the scale with ease. I don't know if this is making sense but any advise would be great. I would love to know my range.

    Hi Denise,

It may be difficult to know what your natural vocal range is. But with some of our lessons, you may be able to figure it out more easily.

I suggest taking a look at this tutorial from Camille: https://www.30daysinger.com/tutorial/getting-better-tone/1

One thing is for certain, if you feel like your voice is straining, then you may not be able to reach those notes. But it's more important to explore the notes within your range and I believe the tutorial above could help you hone in on that range.
