    Hi,

Is it better to inhale by the nose or by the mouth?

I prefer (and recommend) inhaling through the mouth, since you can create space in your mouth and throat during that inhale, which sets you up for a better tone when you sing. Plus, you can take in more air during a shorter period of time.

The downside is that inhaling through the mouth is more drying. When you have an intro or instrumental break, breathe through your nose!
