    Hi Ms Camille

May I ask, is it a must to do warm-ups before singing? Of course, I know that it will better prepare my voice but are there are any dangers if I don't do it? For example, will singing high notes without warm-ups cause damage to my voice?

    Hi Kang,

Warming up is a great way to prevent injury, as you're stretching out your vocal folds gradually and progressively challenging your voice. If you sing without warming up and don't feel any pain or hear hoarseness (during or after singing), chances are you didn't do anything to endanger yourself. But as a general rule, warming up first is recommended.
