Hi James,

In order to imitate different pitches and vocal tones, that would be really difficult since everyone has a different voice and range. I do suggest you learn about how to best train your own voice using the lessons you pointed to above. 

What type of instruction were you looking for?

if i cant match my voice to any pitch then how do i know if i am doing the exercises correctly. because i am singing at a different pitch from the person in the video?

i find it hard do correct my pitch i think its called tonedeaf

how long do i keep repeating the exercises for? how do i know i have mastered them?

Singing lesson videos assume that you can match pitch - but it's true that a very small percentage of the population is "tone deaf". You can take a free online test here: http://tonedeaftest.com/.
