    Hello,

are the lower pitches in the advanced warm-up for male vocal types as I get confused as to what ones I should be using?

    Hi, Curtis!

Yes, male vocal types should use the lower octave (if I'm teaching, I'll say "upper voices with me, lower voices down here" and play a lower pitch on the piano). If a male instructor is demonstrating, you can sing along with them in their octave, unless they specify the lower octave for basses/baritones (and you're a bass/baritone).

The short answer is: when in doubt, sing in the octave you're most comfortable in!
