Gagging when singing - opening throat too much

    I have quite a large adams apple - and sometimes when I sing to low and deeply - and open my throat enough I feel I start getting nausious. Not sure if this has anything to do with my adam's apple really but my throat definetely feels like it's opening too much. Almost like I'm starting in an open yawning position of the throat. Any advice or experience around avoiding this?
