    What does it mean to sing in the mask

    Hi, George! Imagine a masquerade-style mask (covering the eyes and nose), and that's the type of "mask" we're talking about. It's usually a synonym for "forward placement", AKA the presence of brightness or "ping" in the voice. I don't teach on placement very often because it more often confuses singers than helps them (in my experience), but check out that video I linked and let me know if it's helpful!
